Series starting blog: SharePoint 2019 small Farm Implementation Series
One of the most important checklist while setup the SharePoint farm is Database server Instance connectivity from SharePoint & Workflow manager Server (OOS server).
There is one simple method to check it i.e. create DBConnect.UDL file on each SharePoint & OOS server.
Let’s see how to create it & use it.
1. Open a blank notepad file.
2. Save as DBConnect.UDL file (do it on each SharePoint & OOS server)
3. Now open UDL file from saved location
4. Fill the connection values to test it from SharePoint server
We are using SQL Alisa Name: SP2019DevDB (We have created in previous post)
5. Click on Test connection (you can use windows login to test. The login user should have access on Db instance or you can use different user name and password)
